As promised/threatened "How We Operate" is up. I shall be spewing my life onto there from now on.

Erm... Im sure I had something to say.

Oh yeah, I'm getting sick of myspace, facebook, LJ and my many other presences on the web. I therefore have to decided conglomerate them into my own website. It will probably be called "How We Operate". More info to come.

Im going to N&D tonight to see Neil McSweeney and the Gents along with some other bands. Should be fun.

I feel the need to blog, but I am suffering from writers block. Well, blogging block, not any other writing. My notebooks have been taking unprecedented amounts of abuse recently.  I therefore plan to, as most actors, overuse a Pinter pause.

Stage directions: pause

Tunng (supported by Eugene McGuinness) were fabulous. I feel rather ostentatious using that word. I shall use it more often. Refer to one Mr Russell for a more in-depth review. If he ever gets around to it.

If living is the problem, well thats just baffling

I enjoyed last night very much. The Coral were very good, even if a certain guitar effect was overused. The sound was better than I have experienced previously at The Academy. I knew more Coral songs that expected, and I got into the ones I didn't know. The atmosphere was good, although a little too indie cliche for my taste. However the highlight of the night was when someone inflated a condom to the size of a small dog and than threw it into the crowd, where it was passed around for sometime. There were also many failed crowd surfing attempts, which were very amusing in a childish way.

The conversation material between Jack and I was memorable to say the least. Inflatable Vishnu's, Rachel Bonilla-Graham and being inbetween others legs were just few of the comedy goldmines exploited by Jack and myself. Well, only when Jack wasn't eating the hair of a girl infront of him. Not on purpose, or so he claimed.

The support act, called "The Courteeners" who I had heard described as "legends in waiting" were awful. Their wait will be a long one.

It took about 20 minutes to get out at the end. They have not thought it out properly. Anyway, Jack and I proceeded to the pub, looking like a gay couple. He promised to write some music for me. He'd better. I like the idea of having him as my music monkey bitch.

Wow, it seems like I have just wasted another day. Why does it feel so rewarding?

On my way home from work today I admit I did a produce an audible "woo". I don't know why, I just felt bizarrely ecstatic. This inexplicable sound shocked me, and a passer by. I think it was inspired partly by "Love and War (11-11-46)".

I think one of the girls at work likes me. She has a fiance.

I'm going to see the Coral tonight with Jack. w00t.

Well, by request of one Mrs Marshall, this blog is back, with its trademark lackluster musings, depressingly unfunny anecdotes and an excessive use of "Well" to start a sentence.

It has been just under a month since I last posted. Times were not good to say the least. However, after a grand realisation, an epiphany maybe, thing seem to be going better. I have tickets to many concerts, been in touch with a few friends that are still skulking around Manchester and drinking much less whiskey. There are still bad points tho, ie working at Barclays. I s'ppose it could be worse. I have one mildly intelligent colleague, and another rather amusing one, so the time passes faster that it might. I rarely have to talk to people, which is a bonus, but it also exaggerates my lonely life. Saying that, after leaving work early today because there was nothing to do, I did go for a drink with 2 people from the other team on my floor. It was nice.

I am in search of enlightenment. Central Library is aiding me greatly.

Well, I am very tired, and have just eaten much lasagna, so I am off to bed. Goodnight my sweet. May I blog obsessively for 3 weeks then not at all.

Amen

Well I could tell you about my day with stupid jokes and a poor facade like a crap TV presenter. But the truth is, I just don't care any more. I am dead. RIP Shifty.

Is is better to be honest and hurt people, or to lie to them?

I chose honesty.

I'm sorry.

I left the house at 8 this morning, and I have only just got back. Its been a busy day. First I had to go into Reeds to give some papers in, then I was off to my first ever job. I had to read through about 1000 different manuals and guidelines and sign lots of stuff. fun times. Then I sorted cheques for 6 hours. God I love work. Not content with that, at 4:30 when I finished I headed off to LKH library where I moved books around for 4 hours. Life is fantastic.

The only good thing that has happened recently was getting a letter of kt. It made me grin for ages.

Oh, also NJBF was good, but that is a topic for another day. Cue rant about Felix. Actually I'll do that later.

I cant really remember what I did on Monday or Tuesday, nothing productive probably. Oh actually on Monday I help my sister move back to Liverpool. Woo.  Ohh on Monday night I spoke to KT. That was good, but I feel more distant from her everyday.

I'm going to bed.

These posts are becoming shorter and more pointless everyday. I have no anecdotes to tell, no stories to amuse, and no tales to thrill. Today was mainly spent talking to KT. We spoke for almost 2 hours. It was amazing. Fuck I miss that girl. At least I feel happier because she is a bit better. It only cost about 6 squid, which isn't bad really.

I had an interview with Argos today. It went pretty well, but there were quite a lot of candidates. Ahh well.

Carrying 20kg for 6 miles in kinda tough on the old back. Meh, I have time to get used to it before Malaysia.
